Make no mistake!
We would all love for Jesus Christ to return tonight! A day with Him is better than a thousand other days. He is our joy, He is our life!
But, alas, imminency, or the theory that Jesus can return tonight, is not in Scripture.
When the disciples asked Jesus about the signs that would herald His return, did He say, “There are no signs. I can return at any time”?
No, He gave them signs that would herald His return. We’ve already seen in the last teaching video, “Rapture Scriptures that got LEFT BEHIND,” that Jesus already stated unequivocally that His return is after the Great Tribulation.
The pre-trib teachers have used the “thief in the night” parable by Jesus to say that Jesus can return tonight. But Jesus and the writers of Scripture disagree.
Many sincere Christians believe that even thought they pray for Christ’s return, they think that His return will shock and surprise them, as a thief would.
The truth of the matter is that if Jesus returns to you as a thief in the night, then you’re not ready for His return.
